"I'd like to remind everybody that it also requires a community to step up," Emanuel said Monday at an unrelated press conference. "You're not a snitch, you have a role in community policing."
The urban community won't go for that until you start busting heads. That's the reality.
Emanuel said police have moved in more officers, removed guns and drugs off the street, and over the weekend, arrested 307 people and confiscated more than 100 weapons during several drug busts across the city.
"We can keep doing that," he said, "but we have to pass stronger gun laws in this state. We're not talking about repealing conceal carry, but making sure we have a tougher set of laws dealing with assault weapons and other types of guns."
Uh-huh. Blame the tool, not the carpenter.

Looks like Rahm is content to carry on the Chicago tradition of repressed rights for the law abiding.Doubt he would know an assault weapon if it fell out of the sky and hit him in the head.

Glad he's all the way up there and I'm all the way down there. He can keep his policies where they are.

WHAT concealed carry?????
There is NO concealed carry in Illinois except for politicians.

Every Alderman or Village Trustee in the State, every Mayor or Village President or every Trustee of a Park District in Illinois is considered a Conservator of the Peace and can receive an Illinois Conceal Carry permit.

If that were to happen, then he would certainly have been assaulted by a weapon!

HMMM.... They're a city some of the most restrictive firearms prohibition laws in the country that's in a state with restrictive gun laws, but every hood's got a gun and some dope and they're shooting each other. But since they're doing such a p!ss-poor job of enforcing the gun laws they have, they need MORE gun laws? Where are all those illegal guns supposed to be coming from in Chicago, anyway - - -CANADA?

I bet, of the 306 that they put in jail, 305 of them are already back on the street. But it is the guns fault. Liberal idiots.
