Akin Stays in Race After 'Rape' Comment

This story has been circulating for a few days now, but the 5pm deadline for Akin to drop out of the race has come and gone. Akin says he's in it to win, even with members of the GOP and even Mitt Romney calling on Akin to withdraw from the Senate race. Republicants are hard pressed to pick up enough seats in the Senate this election cycle to get a majority, and this race doesn't help any. Guess what clip the Dimocrats will be playing until November?

*sigh* Unfortunately stupid knows not red or blue. If somehow Akin manages to pull a rabbit out of his hat, at least Hank Johnson (D, GA) will have a peer in DC.

GOP dropped him like a leper and are witholding $ from his campaign.
Better toe the line I guess.
Ironically this will likely help the Dems win a crucial senate seat.

Come on man, you know that out of the ordinary things make the news. A gaffe from a guy who otherwise has had a pretty low-profile term in Congress is news. Joe Biden saying something dumb is just Tuesday.

Loyalty has never been a strong point for republicans. I think it has a lot to do with how ridiculously liberal the parties leadership is, and that is just a less liberal wing of the Democrat party.
