Gunsmith for .45?

I have a Series 70 Colt Gold Cup NM that will need some smithin'. I bought a GC NM Barrel and bushing to replace the existing barrel/bushing, and also want to replace current sear/disconnector with Wilson parts. Who would you recommend for this? I was considering Hatfield's or NoVa Gun Works, but don't know their wait times. Any guess on how much this would cost?

Thanks in advance, Joel

Hi Joel,

You are more than welcome to bring the firearm into our shop for a quote. Ask for Luis (he's usually there in the evenings), and he will be glad to discuss with you the work you want done.

Thanks,

I take all my stuff to Hatfield's. Their work is terrific. Sterling Arsenal's may well be, too; I just don't want to drive that far out from where I am. I would not want to take a good gun to a gunsmith who has a fast turnaround on significant work. There's an obvious reason that comes to mind as to why they can turn work fast.
