So as some of us may know, Mr. President made a comment to small business owners of how hey didn't build their businesses, rather the gov't did.

Well Mr. Biden that lil snip-it from your partner just bit you in the bum. It's best to be careful what you say to those whom are your "constituents."

It is sad that far left wing radicals don't realize that without the taxes from those businesses, none of that infrastructure would have been able to have been produced. Furthermore, in most cases private companies actually built that infrastructure with their own workers and expertise using the very taxes they paid in the first place. Marxists as I have come to find out over the years have a very warped perception of reality.

I have thought, "What if every one closed their businesses, took their money, and left for another country?"

Yeah "You didn't build that"... And that's directed to OBAMA/BIDEN about this COUNTRY!

YOU DIDN'T BUILD IT!!!

Once in a lifetime opportunity or not, when the POTUS or VP comes to visit, your business gets shut down. Doesn't matter how much press is there nor not, that doesn't automatically turn into sales, but the lost revenue is guaranteed. Just like that guy at the beer tent at the Iowa fair who lost $25k in lost sales while Obama was there. That's a big chunk of change to walk away from just for a few press clippings.

Having only laid eyes on one POTUS (Clinton, who happened to be nearby while my class was on a field trip to the UN HQ in NYC when I was 11) I dont know how it affects businesses or events.

So if they chase out the proles, how do we see pictures of a POTUS deigning to sit with the commoners in some restaurant? Are they like movie extras or something? Just brought in for a picture?

I can't see how it hurts either... Last years preparation for POTUS here in PR was crazy... Hotels housing the WH Staff, Sercret Service, Planners, etc... Then theres places that they need to eat at and the media, and then the influx of civilians coming to the area where he is... The POTUS visited some place here that was a simple bakery and their sales went up 250% after him leaving. Lets not forget the street type vendors selling toys, water, cotton candy, tripletas, alcapurrias, etc. All them get business too. When the Pres got here it was seriously crazy, and all just to est a MEAL with him worth a mere pocket change of $35,000 (for his campaign of course). The people that lose are the goverment. Look at the cost of running a Coast Guard helicopter and small boat for 6 - 8 hours. When I get in tonight I'll give you the exact cost to TAXPAYERS. It's sickening the amount of dough you lose because of him wanting to visit somewhere for a few hours for HIS gain, not yours. That's not singling out Mr. Obama, that's any President...
*off soap box*

Im merely pointing out in my OP how these guys need to watch their mouths because you being potus or vp doesn't mean jack to a lot of people.

According to WDBJ Roanoke the Secret Service guys with Biden bought some baked goods and the next day Crumb and Get It sold out of inventory.
