The US has refused tio sign on to the UN's gun grabbing treaty ,, News of this was annnounced Friday...http://www.ammoland.com/2012/07/27/arms ... z21s1vCmaR Let's sit tight till we hear more bit for now it looks like the worst MAY be over,,,http://turtlebay.foreignpolicy.com/post ... ade_treaty

“I think the grassroots surge by American gun owners against this treaty convinced our government to not sign this document,” Gottlieb said. “The proposed treaty, as written, poses serious problems for our gun rights, and the sovereignty of our Second Amendment.”

There has to be more to this story but this is a good start,,,,

Don't delude yourselves. Just wait until after the election. Neither party wants to commit political suicide this close to a major election. :protest:

The UN's ATT is the perfect example of a zombie bill. Just when you think it's dead for good, it rears it's ugly un-dead head again.

Not until the UN is gone will this bill go away. Too bad we don't make politicians with spines any more.

According to the VCDL alert I got this evening... It's DOA for now...

I will wait, and see, but I think when the U.S. started objecting to things, then other countries came into it objecting, the Head "UN-ist" realized it was a lost cause.

It seems it's not so much a refusal to sign as a delay to "study" the proposed treaty. Some other info indicates they weren't able to come up with a draft treaty everyone agreed on, but I don't know if that's accurate or not.

Glad this has ceased for now. Unsure how the Senate would have treated this, especially after the vague reply letter Jim Webb sent all of us who emailed him about this matter. Also, getting no reply from Mark Warner concerns me about how he would have voted.

I agree ...Warner is an Obama lover for sure.and I don't trust him...Webb is middle ground IMHO... Now we'll have to watch out for the efforts of these sneaky gun hating bastards even more.... No way are they just going to stop the attempts at killing the 2nd amendment based on that treaty thing....
