NVGC Picnic, Open House, Swap Meet and Competitions

The information below is excerpted from our recent monthly NVGC newsletter.
On August 11th, the club is hosting a picnic, swap meet, and team shooting challenge. There will be five events; each team can enter all or just the ones of interest. Each team member is required to participate equally in each event entered. I have tried to make the event rules such that equipment can be easily shared at each station except shotgun events. A team will need one shotgun per team member. In order to facilitate planning efforts, I would like to get as many teams as possible to sign up ahead of August 11th. So far I’ve seen interest from eight or so team captains. Looks like it is going to be a good event. Since this is the first time I have tried to plan an event like this, it probably won’t be perfect, but I’m doing all I can to make everything run as smooth as possible. So bear with me. Maybe this could be an annual affair.
The Club Picnic and Open House has been slightly changed to a Picnic/Swap meet/Team Competition this year. That does not mean any less fun. There will be plenty of sausages and hot dogs and cold drinks. Anyone wanting to bring a dessert, that would be appreciated, but it is not required. The event takes place at the Club on Saturday, August 11 with the first sausage being ready about 10:30 and food available until at least 1:00 pm and probably until 2:00 pm. The ranges will be open and you can eat with other Club members and then spend some time on the ranges. The event has always been a lot of fun in the past.

Signup: provide captain’s name place an X under each event to enter (Team Captain must be a club member)
Entry fee is $15 per team per event for a two tier cash payout. Grand prize for 5 events and a payout for each individual event.
