New Blog Front-end for VGOF

I have replaced the "index" page at VGOF with a wordpress blog. So, if you visit the VGOF website directly through
http://vgof.net or
http://vagunforum.net you will see the new blog page (it will redirect you to the wp directory).
I would like to know what you think of the page setup and if there's anything you would like to see added, removed or changed.
My plan is to use it as a place to post some of the more important VGOF news items, but still keeping it on the main VGOF website. I tried this awhile back with
http://vgof.org, but it's so far to travel to get over there from here. With the new blog integrated into the forum website, I think it will prove to be much more useful.
Thank you for being a Freedom Loving Virginia Gun Owner!

Guess it's too early to tell. Will make a decision when some more content gets on the page.

Confused the hell out of me when I clicked on my usual bookmark until I saw the "forum" tab.

If you update your forum bookmarks to
http://vgof.net/index.php then it will take you straight to the forum, skipping the blog page.

You might reduce the width of the blog page. My monitor(s) are 1024x768 and it runs way over the width.

I don't mind that my bookmark takes me to the blog page (although I, too, was initially confused). What does drive me batty is that when I click on the "Va Gun Owner's Forum" link at the top of the forum pages, it takes me to the blog page instead of back to the home forum page. If you'd change that, I'd promise not to burn down your outhouse.

Consider it done...soon...I want to keep my outhouse.

I wondered about that when creating the site... will consider changing it to fit 1024 width instead of the current 1260 pixels.

Nope. Your outhouse ain't safe yet. When I click on the topmost, leftmost link on the forum pages that says "Virginia Gun Owners Forum", it still takes me to the Blog page instead of backl to the home forum page that the forum link on the blog page takes me to.

Does that look better?

I like the landing page. It's crisp, clean and very inviting. And it's all NEWS. It's a keeper!
