Two more Woodbridge shops

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

Two more Woodbridge shops

Post by cwfunrider »

So besides the other shop mentioned in Woodbridge there are two more worth a look.

The first in called All Shooters Tactical on the PW parkway near BJs. It's a good size shop with a decent amount of firearms and accessories. They have both new, used, and do consignment guns. The owner seemed pretty nice and not arrogant like some shop owners.

The other shop is Quantico Tactical near the mall next to pet smart. This place is great for accessories and clothing. They have a ton of Blackhawk and 5.11 stuff. Quite a selection of AR parts and Eotech stuff. Right now they have a huge stock of federal 9mm, 45, 40, 5.56 and. 22 that is priced really well, especially if you buy any large quantities. I bought 500 rounds of both 9 and 5.56 in the last couple of weeks.

They told me this weekend that in July the were going to sign a long term lease, remodel the store they originally took "as is" and also start carring firearms.

Stop in if you are in the area. (I am in no way connected to either of these shops)

So, horray for local business and competition to boot.

It was 229 for 1000 rounds. I split a case with a coworker.

Good hopefully this will bring the cost of stuff at sharpshooters down. They are the only ones i have time to go to on my lunch break.

Quantico Tactical has been at that location for a while now. They had a store NW of there, and they closed it, then they opened a store in Potomac Mills mall, and closed it, and moved to that location by Petsmart. Their AR mag prices are great. Too bad they let their FFL lapse a few years ago, it's nice they're getting it back.

I knew they had been there a while, but no one had mentioned it yet so I figured I'd put it out there. Besides getting their FFL back and carrying guns again, they are also going to be a 5.11 flagship retailer.

Howdy,
Didn't know about All Shooters Tactical in Woodbridge till this weekend. I found and bought a couple Mosin's from AIM and they had them listed as a local FFL. I stopped by the store today to take a look and was impressed. The two guys there were pretty laid back but were happy and pleasant to talk with. I think they could tell I was just looking around when I first strolled in. Lot's of good gear from backpacks, straps, holsters, to pistols/rifles. Going to purchase a pistol soon. I know what I want and will let you know how well the transaction goes. Also let you know about the FFL pickup.

Yes, All Shooters Tactical is a great shop! They took care of a transfer for a 12Ga I bought on Gun Broker back in Jan and I've purchased a Px4 and a Mini-14 since then. Very friendly and helpful. They've been great trying to get ammo in and keep their customers informed.

Sign up with them on FaceBook for their daily info updates, shop sales and consignment updates. I found out about VGOF and VCDL from the guys there. I only wish they had hours past 1800 a day or two during the week, but they are open Sat/Sun.

Bringing back an old posting for sure.

AST = good shop and good guys

I have been let down and disappointed with QT since the storm broke. Customer service is lacking.

I've got a couple Mosin Nagants incoming to these guys for a FFL transfer. I sent them an email with my contact information and the order number for the FFL transfer. I think they misunderstood and sent me 3 emails letting me know about my FFL transfer. Now that's some freaking good customer service for very little money. I've sent them a request for a quote on two different pistols I am looking at because of that. I'll post up after the FFL transaction and pistol inquiry are done. So far I like these guys a lot.

PS it was like pulling nails to get Dawson's to send their FFL paper work to another purchase I made. Ugh, and I so want Dawson's to be my "go to" store. Here is your chance All Shooters!

The guys at AST have been very friendly to me, and they seem to know their stuff. They're also working on trying to open a range in Woodbridge, so if you want to invest, you can. Also, the more we support them, the closer they'll get to that goal, which I, for one, would LOVE. Plus, their FFL's are $30 I believe, which is cheaper than anywhere else I've seen within a reasonable distance from me. So, I'm all about AST.

Wow that's the first I've heard AST looking to open a range. I'll have to ask next time I'm in. That would be great as the closest range I can get into is at the NRA. Not bad, just a good drive away.

Had a great AST experience. I've gone in four times now to discuss my first 1911 purchase. They have been super friendly and willing to talk and show me the hardware and answer questions every time. No "oh boy not this guy again." I finally decided on a Les Baer after looking at all their Colts, Ed Brown, Para Ordinance, etc., etc. They had about 30 different 1911s in there. They were super helpful during the whole purchase, including taking extra time to help me pick out the right holster, ammo, etc., showing me every option and discussing the pros and cons of each, not just tossing their choice at me to get rid of me. Their prices aren't as cheap as, say, gunbroker, but there is no credit card hike (which put them basically in the same ballpark, especially when shipping and transfer fees are taken into account) and they are equivalent to, if not cheaper than, most other shops in the area (I've been to Dawson's, Blue Ridge Arsenal, C&G, Quantico Tactical, the Quantico PX gun shop, and Sterling Arsenal, most of which didn't have many, if any, 1911s in stock).

Jim confirmed that they are in the process of working on opening a range, and that they have jumped through several of the legal hoops, but that they are still probably 24-36 months away from opening. So, I guess the more we support them, the better!
