Kydex Holster from Sterling Arsenal

Just got a Kydex Holster for my Sig P220

retention is nice and it's a solid piece of well done kydex craftmanship -pretty close to NTAC quality

and best part I got it from Sterling Arsenal right here in NoVa -took them less than two weeks as opposed to the 3 month waits you get when ordering from one of the online companies - apparently it's something they've started doing now

sweet, do they need your handgun to make a mold or do they have blue guns to make them?

for my P220 they did not need it for the mold, I believe they used one from their showroom. And once they have done one they always have the mold. So I think it depends on whether they have done one already or have a model already in their stock that is the same of as your pistol. If so, nope you don't need to bring your handgun in, and f they haven;t done it yet and don't have the pistol in stock, they may need it. Also they'll need to know what cant you want and whether IWB or OWB loops etc. I'm just really impressed with the fast turn around time.

We have holsters readily available for your standard 1911's, Glock's, and Springfields. For many other firearms, we do prefer to use the customer's firearm to create a truly custom holster. It depends on the firearm though. For Riposite's holster we used one of our P220's to create the holster. If your're interested in one, bring your handgun in and we can see determine if we need to keep your firearm or not.

are you making kydex magazine carriers yet?

I could use one for my ParaOrdnance P16-40. The kydex holsters for 1911s doesn't quite work with a double-stack, I had to modify my Blackhawk holster with a file to get it to fit. Once I get it back from the smith (new sights) I'll see about ordering one.
