Hello VGOF,

One of our (Tactical Dad's and mine) favorite places to go in Manassas VA is called Okra's. It is Cajun and Creole food.

I took the liberty to call up and ask if a large group of OC, and/or CC people came to visit to eat dinner, would the management mind. The management was awesome, and said not at all, they have people that come in OC'ing and CC'ing all time, and that they would love to have us. So if you are game and wanna come out and shmooz with other like minded people you are more than welcome. If you guys respond I will make a reservation so that we can all sit together.

Reca and I will be meeting there.

What: Meet and eat great food

Why: do you really need a why, cause we all need to eat and we all tend to like guns. Also there may be a live band there that night if you enjoy live music. I will try to get us tables in the corner so we are not right next the band trying to talk. I is smrt like that.

Called to let Okra's know we are coming. I will call and confirm with management when they get in today to confirm just to make sure lines don't get crossed. Yes I am a little OCD why do you ask?

Ok spoke to the owner of the restaurant. =) He has us down for about 15 people coming. They don't take reservations, but he understands me wanted to warn them that I have a large group coming. Currently by responses it seems that there will be about 12 people there if everyone who responded comes. I gave us a buffer of seats. However, I believe if there are more coming we can always add seats.

The band will be outside, unless it is raining so we should be able to talk unhindered.

Yay! I love Okra's and am so happy to be able to share a cool place with you guys.

Sweet! glad to see most of the people who came to the last get together are coming out again! My mother wont be making it out this time around (lives in NYC) but my gf will be with me.

Hello all its Thomas, from Fredericksburg. I'm glad I came up (despite the traffic). Food was good, and hopefully made a few friends. It was nice to meet everyone.

Thank you everyone that came. It was lots of fun. I am sorry I was loosing my voice. The food was good, the company was great. Loved that they guy came up to us and asked if it was legal us OC'ing.

Great night. Now my kids are passing out at home. Thank the good Lord.

Can't agree more. Great food and some how we managed to pick up a new friend who came to a gtg and wasn't even a member of the forum yet!

It was certainly a great turn out. I was happy to see that people who came out to the first gtg were able to make it to this one as well. That tells me we may have some dedicated people who won't let you down Of course new faces are always welcome and this one came a long way to have dinner with a group of strangers If that doesn't show dedication I don't know what does!

In the end there was great food with lots of smiles and great conversation. I think I may try and put something together for a monthly meet here in Manassas VA. No specific days or weekends due to a mixture of schedules but a post every month of a "where & when" type of thing. I know some of us are way too busy and travel often (JD ) but I think it would be nice.
