Husband went to shoot and used all my ammo

My husband was showing interest in trying out my gun. So I took him to shoot at BRA. I had to watch the kids while he was having some fun, and I took them shopping.

A couple of days before hand I was getting him familiarized with loading and unloading the gun, the safe handling instructions and all the rules. How to operate the gun etc.

He finishes up and I come to pick him up. We are discussing his shooting how he liked it etc. He had a blast I was excited that he did.

He shows me his target and I say "wow that's great" He was like "yeah I went through 100 rounds" there is a pause, and I ask "two boxes of ammo?" His response "yep two boxes, I had a great time" I grin and say that is fantastic.

Later on at home we have been talking about it, he says "I can see going to shoot but not all the time." I am say ok no problem.I am glad you had a good time and are interested. He says, "yeah once a week seems like a good amount." Pause.... Silence and than laughing "Hun Once a week is all the time." he laughs, then says "I may have to get my own gun." I laugh smile and nod saying "yeah that might be a good idea"

I have created a monster. *hand forehead*

Husband is supposed to like it but not enough to hinder my shooting time. :hysterical:

Before you know it, he'll be on a gun forum with hundreds of posts and telling you, "Hold on honey. I've got to check for replies!"

Well, I guess nobody told you never shop less than 500 rounds at a time :) Thinking that this could be enough for a month... or just for a week :))

Serves you right! Let this be a lesson for you that two boxes of ammo just isn't enough. Like others have pointed out, minimum orders need to be put in place. :hysterical: :hysterical:

You are a good wife... a Proverbs 31 woman...
Proverbs 31 wrote:Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
Get a sitter and go to the range together. It really is worth the $$ you put into it. Not just the range/gun time (but that's good, too). Anything that the two of you can do, and enjoy, together will strengthen your marriage.

With my wife I always preface my discussion..."Dear, don't get mad at me but....". When this begins he will soon learn to ask for forgiveness and not permission. I have found it much easier that way. It is genetic...I am sorry. Put the house in your name!

I think he means "pink guns" as in your husband probably wouldn't want to shoot a pink gun.

Lol ohh oops... :hysterical:

Yeah he would not have wanted to shoot it, and for that matter neither would I. I am not a pink kinda girl. No offense to anyone who would like a pink gun. I just prefer mine black or gunmetal colored.

Get thee to a Walmart, and procure several 100 packs of 9mm Federal ammunition. And at this rate, you may want to start reloading your own ammo!

Was at quantico tactical in woodbridge yesterday and they had 1000 round cases of federal American eagle for 229. Not bad. I picked one up.

They had 45, 40, and 5.56 on sale to.

You may also find a good deal for ammo at the Chantilly Gun Show, or combine your purchase with someone else to get a better price.
