I cannot remember where I saw it, but there is a law about carrying concealed in a restaurant that serves alcohol. I was confused by the wording, but from the way it read, you cannot carry openly or concealed in a restaurant that serves alcohol?

Any clarification would be helpful.

Open carry you can consume.
Concealed carry you can't.

As has been said, you can carry either way in a restaurant that serves alcohol for on premises consumption.

If carrying concealed, you cannot drink. If carrying openly, you can drink, but not to the point of being "under the influence" (which, you basically are after one drink).

Unless you're like me and always under the influence. As in, is it 5PM anywhere?

Just my opinion and many will disagree. I would not open carry in a business just because I dont want or need the unnecessary attention that comes with it. It is your right but it freaks enough people out that it isnt worth it to me.

That has changed. You can carry your firearm in an establishment that serves alcohol but you cannot drink.

the wisdom of consuming while oc is debatable, but there is no statute prohibiting it. the prohibition is against carrying (oc or cc) while intoxicated and, unlike dui, the intoxication threshold isn't specified.

I should have been more specific. If your carrying concealed,you may not drink. It does not apply to open carry.However,you can not be under the influence and at what point and who determines under the influence. And of course the private property laws apply to both.
