Apparently you can't keep me out of the range

So I got to go to the BRA range again today. Currently I am logging at least once a week at the range. There is something wrong with me, apparently you can't keep me out of the range.
Today I have run through 2 boxes of ammo Federal 9mm Luger, and Winchester 9mm Luger, both 115 grain. So far it seems my gun likes Winchester ammo. I know people said the gun will have its preference it just amazes me.
I love my gun. I am by no means a great shot... yet. I had a request for pictures while at the range, but I was absent minded and forgot my camera. So next best thing I have a pic of my targets. It was very busy and hot inside today at BRA.
While it looks like I was everywhere, what you are seeing is several groups of multiple shots. I am still getting used to my sights and my gun. Left target is the one I started with, Right target is the one I ended with. The targets were set at 25 feet. I don't know if that is good or bad, but it is what I went with. Worked for me.

Oh also went to F3 Tactical today...
http://www.f3tactical.com/ it was a bit of a let down. If you need some camo, or want some boots good place to go. They had some knives, and looked like they had some scopes. They do not sell ammo, or guns, and had like two or three IWB holsters. However, they told me they are getting some belly bands next week. So I may go back for one of those.

Definitely sounds to me like you've gone off the deep end!

hahaha.. i love it! I would go everyday if I could! Ammo becomes $$$ though.
Anyway, you should make sure to practice at different lengths. They say typical home defense happens at 7-10ft. I try to move the targets back so I can practice hold over, etc and be comfortable with the sights for that distance.
with practice, you will only get better!

Your officially an addict! I'm and addict with no money. Haven't been shooting in a month sans some subsonic .22s.

They do not have a FFL yet, so they are not allowed to sell guns. Not that they'll have any to sell once they get the license, as the distributors are all out of stock on damn near everything.

That's the truth. I've heard that from a couple of gun shops, in fact.
The folks at F3 are great, though. I probably stop over there every couple of weeks to check my stock of business cards (they have a small rack of cards in the back area - free advertising for me), and just shoot the bull for a bit.

You remind of me of me when I got back into shooting. Everyday I could I'd stop at the rand on the way home to go through just six magazines full. Can't afford range time now and I can feel the rust setting in.

Riana - are they out of stock cause a lot more people are buying firearms now?
KaosDad - Not that I am complaining, but my husband is totally facilitating. He told me just this morning, he was like if you wanna go this weekend you can. =)

Competing? Oh hell I am no where close to competing level. The only competing I have ever done was Swimming ( was a competative swimmer for 10 years). I have seen the show top shot, there is no way in hell I am of that caliber. Never even thought about competing. Are there teams or competition instructors/coaches around here?

TM... Suggestion? A .22 pistol, and a .22 rifle... ammo is less expensive, and you're developing better technique, and skill. (shakes head vigorously to the affirmative)
Yeaaaahhh, it's addictive.

People are buying whatever they can get their mitts on now. The tactical stuff is in high demand but it's even edging a bit into Fuddgun territory. It's crazy.

There are lots of competitions out there. IDPA, USPSA, IPSC are individual action pistol competitions. BRA runs and IDPA match once a month. On the second Sunday of the month from March to October, Hatfield's runs a bowling pin shoot at the Fairfax Rod and Gun club. It's very beginner friendly.

I tend to go to BRA but this weekend I am going to try out SEG. You are welcome to come meet me there at SEG this weekend, or at BRA when I am at BRA probably next week.

Just a word of warning about SEG- Saturday's tend to be packed there-they do a living social/Groupon promotion so they tend to pull in a lot of people on Saturdays- so there can be a wait for a lane sometimes.
