Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

So today my boyfriend and I were walking my dog before we went on our weekly range trip. A guy in his suv was driving past us and yelled to us out the window "I'm pretty sure it's illegal to open carry in VA. " I turned around and said no it's not! He said "I'm pretty sure it is!" I stared at him and was like omg ignorant people like you that don't know the laws are reasons to carry a gun. He looked pissed and drive away. Lol. This just dumbfounded me I was like seriously this is Virginia we're all about guns.

It's pretty funny that someone would take the time to slow their car down and yell out a window even if it were true. I dont know about anyone else but I don't think I've ever yelled out of my car to anyone anything unless I knew them. Maybe I'm just crazy but you don't do that where I'm from. You'd be either shot or flipped off. (Flipped off in LA & Shot in Detroit.)

If I'm pretty sure it's means I don't know. Also unless I'm carrying I'm not going to scream at someone that is carrying...

Yeah. I was dumbfounded for a moment I was like omg I don't know you from Adam and you are trying to tell me what my legal rights are or are not. O well I guess there will always be those people to make us laugh. Just don't understand the gaull of some people.

It was probably a cop. They are notorious for not knowing the law.

I love idiots, there a great source of amusement!

My boss tried to convince me that carrying a loaded gun without any sort of permit was illegal; her LEO fathers LEO friend told her so.

I told her that they were wrong, then later I texted her the Virginia code that said so. Have heard nothing from her regarding that topic since.
