After the dissapointing gun show at Dulles i thought i might try Dawsons (it's on 4 miles from my house). I got the usual greeting i expected from them when i entered (none) but eventually a young guy came over showed me a few guns and price was reasonable so i purchased 2. Well 2 weeks have passed and have the bug knowing i have to buy more. I returned to Dawsons today, no other customers in the store, 3 salespeople, silence. I walked up and down in front of the gun cases stopping a a few, silence, a guy walked in to buy 4 worms(seems that they really like to sell worms) 2 people helped him. Another guy walked in, he must have looked real important they practically falling over themselves to greet him. I stayed about 3 more min and left (they did'nt even say goodby). Needless to say that will be my last trip to Dawsons. It may be 25 miles away but Virginia Arms will be my first stop next week.

I'm somewhat of a regular there, so I get the whole greeting thing. Their prices are retail, but they have stuff no one else in the area carries, like reloading supplies.

I'm down in Woodbridge once in a while and I've seen the place. I figure I'll probably stop in sooner or later to check it out. It seems like a lot of people have a lot of issues with the whole friendly customer service thing with a variety of gun shops in our general area.
I've had good experiences with Virginia Arms and Guns and Ammo Warehouse.
