Ran across a feller the other day that needed to sell his gun. I never had a double-stack 1911 before, but Tenchecox has spoken so highly or Para Ordinance pistols that I went ahead and took advantage of an attractive offer. Got 4 15-round magazines with the pistol. Haven't shot it yet, but I'm curious about that ported nosepiece. Haven't fired it yet, but preliminarily, I'm favorably impressed.
Besides, I needed to do something about a 1911 fix. I've had a Nighthawk Custom Dominator ordered since 8/10/11; at which time I was told it would be a 26 week wait. 2/29/12 made 29 weeks, and the pistol hadn't showed. Just got word this nmorning (after raising heck with the dealer) it will be another 90 days. Just have to suffer, I guess.

Fired it this weekend. I like it! I guess those are 14-round mags. Must be why it's a P <<14>> 45, huh?

To be completely honest, it made some difference, but not a huge amount.

It feels a little bigger, but not near as fat as a Glock. I was surprised.
