Low Moor

Went out to the Low Moor range in the G.W. national forest this morning. I was there from 11:00 to 12:30 and my group had the place all to ourselves. A very nice place to shoot this is. The pistol range has 4 tables and the riffle range has a lot more and those are covered (will check the pics when I get them off the phone). Shot around 300 rounds between the three of us. If it wern't so cold we would have cleaned up a bit more of other people shotgun shells and steel cases which littered the pistol area
and I did notice that someone had shot the windows in the toilet that is bad. But I was sure to get all my cases up
. I can see not being so carefull with steel in the open where they will rust away but saw many in the covered rifle area too. It really looked like most people do a good job of picking up there in fact better than some places I have payed to shoot at
. Next time I will bring a rake to clean up those shot gun shells.
I had some trouble with my glock 26 and my 1/2 reloads not fireing it didn't look like the primer was being well dented. Also on the glock the front sight came lose so I only got 40 rounds or so through it.
My Beretta 96 shot great as always and we each put at least 5 mags though it for around 200 rounds through it. This gun is a champion by far my favorite the only thing is it throws the brass realy far (12-15') back. Shot 2 mags at the head of a silloette at ten yards and almost made a 22 hole smilely face if it wern't for the few in the fore-head
.
My Colt Pocketlite shot well too we put around 60 rounds through it. Those same primers shot just fine in it. The only hang up was the 2 brand new pmags (1 is 6 round the other in 10) I bought for it were quite sticky needed a bit of oil and the follower would still get stuck while loading and some time when racking in the first round but did fire and load fine after that so probably just needs some breaking in. The factory mag works great.
Over all I had a great morning.
