conversions of calibers

ived noticed with a bunch of other guns u can change it from 45 to 22 or 40 to 9mm I was wondering if anyone else has wondered or tried taking a 9mm barrel out of a sigma 9mm or a glock 17 and put in a 40 s&w caliber barrel in im tempted just to see if they will fit

There is a company called Lone Wolf that makes conversion barrels for Glocks. THere are other companies doing the same thing for Glocks and other pistols. For some calibers (.357 SIG and .40 S&W) its just a barrel change. For some (.40 S&W to 9mm) you'd have to buy magaznes for the other caliber as well.

IIRC, Sigma 9 & 40 are not interchangeable, at all. The magazines won't even work in each other.... I don't recommend even trying it.

if you go from .40 s&w to .22 it aint worth buying the conversion kit. if all ur doing is plinking its cheaper and easier to just buy a .22 pistol. and yes i bought the conversion kit. luckily the gunshop let me exchange it for a pistol!

You can convert DOWN in power but I'd be really cautious about trying to convert to a more powerful cartridge.
