The Houston Astros players want to wear the teams original jerseys to celebrate their 50th year as a franchise... The league says they can't,...... because.......... OMG there is gun on the front of the old jerseys from when the team was called the Colt 45's ... God forbid that some kid might see that and ask what it is, leaving Mommy and Daddy the PC chore of explaining how evil it is and to never look directly at it lest they be turned into a pillar of bullshit (it is Texas after all)

Now is that some stupidity or what???? This country just gets deeper and deeper into this PC or whatever they hell it's called year after year and it has gone from the occasional racial slur to cover everything under the sun and then some////

Just one more reason that I have absolutely no interest in sports, whatsoever.

At this point, if I were to develop an interest in sports, it would probably be the grade school leagues. At least with them, the members of the home team have a pretty decent chance of being part of the hometown community. That, and the typical 5th grader probably hasn't been exposed to steroids, yet.

I don't know ,,a lot of those "concerned and supportive" parents can get pretty competitive and I wouldn't put steroid use past some of the more immature ones that live their lives through their kids playing soccer or other yawn creator...

Schools tend to simultaneously encourage the "everyone's a winner" doctrine and the "win- no matter what" doctrine. Neither doctrine has a place for learning how to accept defeat with grace and dignity.

I reckon that I'll continue my avoidance of sports.

Except shooting. People who shoot seem more civilized, on the whole.

Check out the UFC. They have banned any firearms manufacture or dealer from advertising period. Also no more gentleman's clubs. Both are what allowed them to fund there up and coming sport. Now they turn there back on who helped get them where they are. I for one will not support them at all. Political Correctness will continue to tear the fabric of america to shreds.
