Appointment of Czars by Obama

Fellow citizens and gun-owners, as you know the president is appointing "czars" left and right to powerful positions. The big problem with this is that these czars are NOT subject to Senate confirmation or Congressional oversight. They are considered White House staff and immune from requirements normally levied on cabinet members yet they wield enormous power. To date, he has appointed approximately 31 of these czars. IMO, this is unconstitutional and is clearly a power grab and end-run around the separation of powers we are supposed to have between the 3 branches of government. In other words, these czars are Obama's private henchmen reporting directly to him and no one else. So far, he hasn't appointed one for gun control, but it appears there is no end to this. Where might it stop.
I've drafted a letter (below) and I urge each of you to send to your congressmen and both senators. Others too, if you are so inclined. Here's the draft letter. Please modify as you see fit. Dear xxxxxxx xxxxxxx,
I am writing to express my concern about President Obama’s appointment of czars to oversee various functions within our government. As you know, czars do not require confirmation of the Senate nor are they accountable to our elected officials. This is in violation of the Unites States Constitution, Article II, Section II which explicitly states:
“…and he [the President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for…”
To date, President Obama has appointed approximately 31 czars in various positions. These czars are chartered by the president to oversee critical areas of concern for the American citizens. These areas include disposition of Guantanamo Bay prisoners and facilities, the auto industry, the financial industry, the war on drugs, regulatory issues, and cyber security. The number of such appointments and the power they wield is unprecedented and clearly represents a power-grab scenario.
Our government is supposed to rest upon a foundation where the three branches have a clear separation of power. President Obama seeks to usurp this principle and execute an end-run around Senate confirmation and Congressional oversight.
I strongly urge you to take this matter for action - issue a call to stop these czar appointments, install Congressional oversight, hold Senate hearings to determine the suitability of these czars, and remove those determined to be unfit as administration officials.
Sincerely,
