Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

I just bought this gun new. I took it to the range and put 50 rounds through it. (mini review, it did pretty good, no failures of any kind, laser works but is marking a little high, its got a LONG trigger pull but manageable, I like it but I understand more experienced owners do not because of the excessive safety features).
My question is about the firing pin. When I was done shooting I picked up a few casing from the last clip I shot and took a look at them and noticed an odd marking on the primer(?). Instead of just a single dot in the center there was also a small groove about 1/16th of an inch long from the center of the point of impact of the pin. After some thought I concluded that the pin was dragging on the casing as it was being ejected because the pin had not fully retracted. Is this a problem? Will it cause any damage to the firing mechanism? Or do I win the dumbest rookie question of the day award?

After further inspection (and someone telling me) it has been determined that it is just the shape of the pin. So, uhh, never mind.

Yes, very much. I have not had an chance to shoot it again, and I am really itching to do so, but time constraints and such. But all the other aspects of it are great. Very concealable, easy to handle, feels good in my hand and all that.

I am still trying to find a comfortable holster. I purchased a blackhawk pocket holster, and it fits pretty good in my jeans pocket, but I think I would rather get a inside the waistband holster. Even thought the gun is small, carrying it around in my pocket for long periods of time is a little uncomfortable for me.

If you haven't bought a holster for you Bodyguard yet, you might want to look at the tuckable iwbs by High Noon. I use their Hidden Ally Low Ride for my .380 and love it. It costs around $40. You don't hear much about High Noon holsters, but they make quality products that range in price from about forty to several hundred dollars.

An IWB is what I am looking for. Thanks for the tip, I will check them out.

Check out Sharktac.com I just got a IWB waistband for my G30 and it is the best IWB I have ever came across. They can make it custom for you and can adjust the cant any way you like. The website can explain everything they do. They can make a holster for anything and since it is made of kydex it conforms perfectly and has virtually no bulk or weight. You can convert it for OWB as well.

Probably the best thing I could find at the gun show this weekend.
