Well for Christmas I decided to get a gift from me to me.. I friend was selling his extra rifle so I picked it up.. $100
Mosin-Nagant M91/30, Izhevsk 1944-45?
came with the bayonet, ammo pouches and cleaning kit.
looks in good condition. very few cracks in the wood. bore seems good, lands and groves there, no pitting. cosmoline all over it , of course..
some pics:

(dang its hard to get good bore shots)
now to clean it up and get shooting
rgrds,

Very nice! I got a Mosin based rifle yesterday, I need to clean her up and get some parts for her that are missing.

Sweet! Let us know if you have any sticky bolt issues rapid firing. There are a few simple solutions to that.

wpoppert.. I can see you love them
Now to just gota find a good place to shoot it.. sine i just bought a case of 7.62x54r for it...
anyone know of one that is FMJ / Light ball steel core friendly?
I'm guessing since I'm in the Tidewater Area, C2 Shooting Center is my best bet?

I am in tidewater as well. I just got a mosin Nagant at the Hampton Gun Show a couple weeks ago. I took it out to chickahominy park to the 100yd sighting in range they have. I went there instead of C2 since chickahominy is free and open to the public. Myne shot great and I didnt have any sticky bolt issues. I hope you love your Mosin Nagant as much as I love myne.
