Hey all,
I'm a full time firefighter and I'm looking for places and people to shoot my AR with, I'm a member at Quantico but I'm not a fan of the schedule and its always crowded when the rifle range is open. I've thought about Issak Walton and Phelps, any advice? Thanks!

Welcome aboard !

I'm in Richmond and they allow the .223 cartridge at Ft Lee. Nice place, however, only open Sundays 10-4. Not crowded, but, a 1.5 hr drive. I occasionally drive from Richmond to IWL (Damascus MD) to shoot, so your drive ain't bad.

Welcome aboard! :welcome:

Check this out for a shooting range within 15 miles of Fredericksburg and it's ALWAYS open and NEVER crowded :)

Welcome aboard. I know what you mean about ranges. I'm in the process of working with allingeneral to get a tour of the Northern VA Gun Club and possibly joining as well.

There is a thread on here about it and he is trying to arrange something for this weekend.

Welcome to the group! I'm a Staffordian too. Phelps works good enough for me out to the hundred yard mark and you can't beat the price but I'm still looking for a longer distance range option.
