Can you spot the numerous errors and half-truths in this Virginian-Pilot article?.

I like the comments better than the story itself...

"Let's put a HUGE tax on all AMMO..."

Now WTF is that going to server to do? The theives will have to break into twice as many houses to shoot their lil gang banger enemies? Stupid.

In recent years, however, South Hampton Roads authorities have rarely pursued violations of those laws in state court, according to a data analysis by The Virginian-Pilot.
Thanks to those who do not enforce laws against those that break them. And then - these same authorities are the ones calling for even stiffer controls. IMO, they know that only the law abiding citizens will follow them. Even sadder is if/when guns are completely banned many of the same law-abiding citizens are going to surrender their weapons. I won't even bother to comment that if we don't enforce current laws why have more.

In 2008, Virginians lost more than $3 million worth of guns to thefts, according to State Police.

That’s a nice thought. Makes it sound as if when your gun is stoles it’s your fault
Lets all thank the govt for protecting us from ourselves.

That stat alone should convince gun owners to purchase some type of gun safe or secured lock box to store their weapons at home.
