Good advice.

They should add something my pappy used to tell me:

13) When asking for a salary, always have a figure you want in mind -- and then ask for significantly more than that number. That way, you may get more than what you want and even if you don't, you have a better chance of getting the amount you had in mind than if you had blurted it out right off the bat.
Truth. Fortune favors the bold. Good find.

Good list my favorite:
There is no such thing as a free lunch. If it seems free, you may want to ask who's paying for it and why before you take it.
But this one could use a little improvement:
3) If you are cutting something, whether it be with scissors, a knife, a box cutter, anything sharp, make sure you are pulling the blade away from your body, not towards it. It may save you a trip to the hospital.
This one has a lot of exceptions. When ever anyone else is near I ALWAYS cut towards myself because it's bad to cut yourself but worse to cut a friend.

I quit reading at righty tighty to laugh at a memory of a young feller that wouldn't believe me about left hand threads. Worked up a sweat, he did.

Not always really feasible. If you were cutting something with a lot of force then yes another solution needs to be found. But you keep your knife sharp you won't had that problem most of the time.

I can think of a large portion of the population well over 18 that could also stand to digest (or at least be exposed to) some of these true-isms.
The quiet war has begun, with silent weapons
And the newest slavery is to keep the people poor, and stupid.

My $.02: Based upon my soon-to-be 43 years of married life, if there is A secret to love, it is probably to keep no secrets.

We have a saying in the house.... "sympathy or solution" when someone brings a problem to you, you ask. Then everyone gets what they want. It works very well... but I've got a highly logical other half.

And, that there probably explains why I am still single. I feel the need to fix every problem that is put before me, lol.

Oh yes, definitely agree with all above statements. Women want you to listen, men want to fix. Works for family and platonic relationships alike. Guns are a lot like men, I've learned. Always direct and to the point. Haha

Thanks for the post.
I emailed links to both the 50 item and the 40 item lists to my daughter who turned 19 today.
