3 gun matches?

I just recently moved to the area and had the opportunity to try a 3 gun match where I lived before. Are they popular/do they have them here?

I see Todd Jarrett fairly often at Black Creek's Steel Matches and Fredericksburg's USPSA matches. A few months ago, I shot in the same squad as Todd at Fredericksburg. I got some great pointers on how to analyse stages and a couple of tips to improve my shooting. He's a very down-to-earth guy for a multiple title world champion.jrswanson1 wrote: I shot at Black Creek on Saturday. Todd Jarrett was there, he shows up every once in a while.

Jim, I've only shot IDPA and Pistol Steel Matches at Black Creek and USPSA matches at Fredericksburg. Although I do have an AR, I've never shot it in competition. All my competition shooting the last couple of years has been limited to pistol. I may give multigun or 3-gun a try one of these days; but, I've got a whole lot room for improvement in my pistol shooting. So much so, that I'm not sure I'll get around to adding a rifle and shotgun.jrswanson1 wrote: BTW, have you shot the Black Creek 3-gun match yet? The first time I tried a shooting competition was here, I ran Heavy Metal with a CETME, a Pardner Pump shotgun, and a Kimber 1911 in 10mm. I have since gone TacOptics.
One of the guys at Black Creek drives down from Maryland for it. He used to shoot USPSA, and had a .38 Super race gun that's collecting dust right now. I know I need to get better at shooting pistol, but 3-Gun is three times the fun!Chasbo00 wrote:Jim, I've only shot IDPA and Pistol Steel Matches at Black Creek and USPSA matches at Fredericksburg. Shooting the big iron as you have does sound like fun though!
They just did a 3-Gun National match there. I should have joined up this summer, but I got married instead. Oh well, she's worth it.crowell33 wrote:There's a new place that opened up in Glengary, WV.
