Pot Scrubbers are on the ATF's list as a firearm. Here is an excerpt from the article:
"And further, an otherwise-lawful owner of a registered silencer probably ought to find something else to clean pots and pans with, as possession of an unspecified quantity of Chore Boy cleaning pads could be considered a “stockpile.” "
This is the article:

What? I mean have these people gone insane? I keep a bunch of pot scrubbers around to scrub pots with because I don't want to stop mid-day and run to to store to get more. I'd rather just buy a bunch and then not deal with it. A pot scrubber is a firearm--boy are these people idiots. This has to end.

Its also unwise to keep too much gasoline or fertilizer in the shed. Other household chemicals are problematic too.
Of course, what constitutes "too much", who knows?

I understand the worry with having a bunch of gas in the garage and even fertilizer, but pot scrubbers pose no chemical or fire danger. I buy a case of 24 two or three times a year (costco). The go't wants to tell me that pot scrubbers are firearms--they have lost their mind.

Just when you think they couldn't get any less intelligent, our government out does themselves.

So I guess plumbers are screwed... Because PVC pipe, pipe foam insulation, and duct tape can be used to make a .22LR silencer...
I paraphrase "The Sixth Sense"... "I see stupid people, they just don't know they're stupid."

I wonder if they consider Brillo and SOS pads to be variants of Chore Boy to watch for too?

I'm a Custodian. Would me ordering a case of these put me on a watch list?

Or any other work truck, for that matter. Hell, I'm in the business of fruit. That puts me in regular possession of ingredients used to make untaxed alcohol.
This exorcise in asininity must end.

You may rest assured that I will do nothing to bring that to the attention of any feminazi.

Naw, its ATF crap; they dont care if you accidentally torch your shed; ever. They do care if they find "too much" gasoline and "too many" bags of fertilizer, as once can make a bomb with them. Ditto for these scrubbers, apparently they have some use in making silencers, which is something theyre very interested in.
As for me, as a dorky envirodweeb, i have rechargeable electric yard implements (no gas fumes in my face while I work!) and abstain from chemical fertilizers, so I'm safe.
No scrubbers.....but I do have some magic erasers laying around.....those things get even the stickiest kids handprints off of furniture.

I prefer the gas powered stuff. I'm currently looking for gas powered kitchen appliances, and maybe even a gas-powered toothbrush...

As I recall Tim Kaine thought something like 350 rounds of ammo was a "stockpile" or "arsenal" or some such thing that needed to be monitored and tracked by the government. so I am guessing too much would be a pretty small number.

I'm oldskool. Only coal powered appliances for me.
