Anyone know of a place to get a slide refinished ? I was lucky to find a slide for my Glock 23 but it could use a refinish of the type used on them.... I am in Virginia Beach but could send it to just about anywhere,,Local prefered... Any help appreciated...

Glock uses a proprietary finish process.
you could try Dura Coat

Excellent Suggestion... I looked them over and it is a definitely a viable alternative to the the other methods I've seen/

Did you want to refinish the slide in Black or in another color or perhaps even have it plated ?

There are many choices for finishes. I would be happy to help or answer any refinishing questions that you may have

i took all of the black finish off of my g19 with a wire wheel on a air grinder, it looks like dull stainless , and it will not rust. bcuse of the tennifer finish. s&w uses melonite on thiers , and i hear it is the same as glock's. all of the other finishes will wear . except for hard chrome.

Cerakote is the new finish that kelttec is using on some guns. It's ceramic based as opposed to duracoat which is epoxy based.
