A police officer’s fatal shooting of a man who was breaking into cars in the Oakdale Farms/Denby Park area was justified because the suspect used his car like a weapon and drove at the officer, the commonwealth’s attorney has ruled.
I wonder if the commonwealth attorney would rule the same if it were not a cop??

This was originally reported on September 7th. So, it took 2 months for the C.A. to decide that it was justified? I despise our legal system.

Funny I remember last year there being a case of Road Rage (I think it was on I-495) where one of the individuals used his sidearm after almost being ran off the road to try and fend off the other driver. The prosecutor took him through the wringer over that.

If the vehicle was a "weapon" against the officer, wonder what the Prosecutor thought the vehicle on 495 was during the road rage incident?

I seems to me that individuals who are not "law enforcement" are expected to withdraw & run away from the identical situation. Hopefully I will never need to draw my weapon but I am saving a copy of the CA memo just in case.

I have no problem whatsoever with the ruling. This thug had a long criminal history was using his vehicle as a weapon. I'm sure he was one of the " was turning his life around" crowd.
