OK, heres the guns I have found so far. If anybody has any suggestions or knows of any others for sale let me know.

The first is $4650, its a DLO with a Ceiner integral can. The plus side is the can uses a ported barrel so it bleads off the 9mm to sub sonic levels. The down side is the welds are kinda crappy. Welds can be cleaned up and the gun can be refinished if needed later, its only cosmetic in nature. The good thing is it apears to be a actual DLO build and not some home build on a DLO tube. This will require two stamps but thats not a huge hassle, I'll be in it $5050 total

The second gun I was looking at was from the same seller. $3500 for this one with stamp. The welds are cleaner BUT the side ears have been trimmed off (down side in my book) and its a unknown builder who stamped his information on the front trunion right where its welded to the tube. In otherwords if the trunion ever gets damaged, say a stress crack, I wont be able to have it welded up with out destroying the information and serial number. Likely hood of it breaking is slim but I still dont like the chances.

Gun 3 is a ERB build, these are considered top notch. It's $4400 or $4600 with stamp, not sure if its on a 3 or 4 currently and its not pictured.

"For sale, an excellent condition and niceley finished ERB STEN MKII. Unfired
since received years ago. From my own collection.
Fully transferrable. $4200 Buyer pays transfer tax and shipping.

NOTE: A particurlary nice finish that is untypical for tube guns.Nice gray green parkerized. "

Gun 4 is a york arms build, never heard of them and cant find much info on them. $3795 including stamp. Finish looks strange, possibly black paint or some sorta coating.

"
York Arms Sten MarkII 9mm fully transferable. Gun comes with one 32 round magazine. Can be transferred on a Form 3 tax exempt to another dealer. Shipping and insurance is included in the price. "

Well, you'll probably want to get the Ceiner can rebuilt when you have the gun spiffed up. So you're looking at probably an extra grand.

The second gun has the rather rare Mk II charging handle. I agree that a Sten with a registered trunnion isn't worth it.

Erb guns are hit or miss. Some of his work was awful.

York - Bill York of Hurricane Utah. Built in the early '80s. He made the casings himself, versus rewelding. That's all I know. They seem okay.

The correct finish for a Sten after about 1944 is paint over park (Suncorite 259 over phosphate, as the Brits put it - Suncorite is a fantastic finish for being paint, very durable). Here's what it looks like when new (both are mine):

I ended up buying a LaFrance sten from spiwak and a SCRC intergrated can from a member over on arfcom. The can only cost $200 and its in state! He bought it new, put less than 1000 rounds down it and sold his sten years ago, can is like new.

The sten its self is a lafrance build built for the steambridge company, it was a movie gun.

I don't completely get the appeal of the Mk II, but as along as you're satisfied.

It's even got the safety bolt hole, kind of unusual for American tube guns. I wish my Mk V had it. I don't suppose you need a bronze bolt? I learned the hard way that they don't work in Mk Vs...

Yeah, I could use a bronze bolt. How much are you looking to get for it?
