Hey fellas this is my first post on VGOF. Glad to be here
I was up at Green Top on Route 1 today looking for a nice shotgun or rifle ranging from 400-800 but it seems that I'll be going with an AR since it combines both for range and close combat situations.
What I'm looking for:
One of the more notable brands such as, Colt, Stag Arms, Springfield, etc.
AR 15
Left Handed Rifle
Ammo and a variety of clips
Let me know. Thanks fellas

I shouldn't be too surprised people wouldn't want to rid themselves of their AR

Left hand models are harder to come by anyways. I'm a Daniel Defense kind of guy, but like Colt I doubt you will find one in that price range you listed...need a couple hundred more. There are lots of good ARs in that range though, just depends on the details of what you want. Ammo and mags for that much is probably going to be really hard to find. I've posted the differences between the major brands more than once if you search for it.

Oh well that's probably the problem. I was going to buy a shotgun/rifle for 400-800 not an assault rifle haha
I will be spending over
1,000 for my AR .....hopefully that finds some sellers! Also, may want a right handed one.
Alright, I'll look around
Cheers

i've got a brand new, mint larue stealth upper w/16" barrel minus steel sights, ready to be mounted on whatever lower you choose. everywhere online sells this upper for 1195.00... i'm willing to part with it for $995.00 ($200 off) just to free up some space. i also have a lot of accessory mounts i could make you deals on.

If your set on getting a Left Handed model these folks make them and they are always available. I have one and its a really good piece// There are dealers selling them at various prices but the factory isn't that much more believe it or not..

I am left handed and my AR is a right hand model. You wont have any issues with a right hand model. It will not throw brass back in your face. Plus....if you ever decide to sell it left hand models are really hard to sell. Just sayin.

I concur with Rich. I am a southpaw and have never had brass snack me while shooting. To my knowledge Stag is the only manufacturer that I know of requiring you to build a custom or go all Stag.
Check out the standard rifle. Shoot it. You will see all you need are ambi or lefty safety and charging handle. Magpul's BAD lever is handy too

I'll add to these guys that a right hander won't hit ya in the kisser, I've got 2 that I've built, I do install a heavier extractor spring to aid the casing ejection so it gets thrown well away from me but its more for enhancement to the guns operation than necessity.....
