Thank you for contacting us. You're correct in that Pamela supports what we consider common sense gun laws. She supports requiring background checks before purchase of firearms, that guns produced and purchased in Virginia meet federal regulations and the one gun a month law. Pamela does not think that guns should be allowed in establishments that serve alcohol and you're correct that the law states that the person cannot consume alcohol, but that is difficult to enforce if a gun is concealed.
I would be happy to hear your opinion on these positions, and we can of course agree to disagree about some gun legislation.
Thanks,

In other words she wants you to be unarmed if you go out to dinner.....

Basically! I think people have this image in their had of some guy walking into his local bar and drunk with his gun concealed on him. People refuse to acknowledge is that this was and still is illegall. They also don't understand that since most restaurants serve alcohol under old law there is hardly anywhere to go.

Well no votes from here--but I don't think she was in my district anyway.

The minute they use the words "common sense" is reason enough to stop listening and write them off as an Anti Gunner in one sense or another. Politican and "common sense" are things that just don;t go together

I think it should be common sense that if they swore an oath to uphold the Virginia constitution, and then failed to do so, they should then be removed from office. Never seems to work that way, though.
