I live about 65 or so miles from Piney Flats, TN. Been to that range once. Nice place. State of the art. VERY serious and competent about safety and range discipline. A little pricey, but very nice.

This was obviously a failure of manners and not safety protocols.

The dude just didn't rip off her shirt and relieve her of that hot brass quick enough.

Whenever you invite a female to the range remind her not to where a low cut shirt. Still shouldn't have happened, .22 brass isn't doesn't burn that bad and the boyfriend should have been watching closely enough to physically grab the gun and keep it downrange.

I disagree. It was her responsibility to keep it pointed down-range. If anything, the boyfriend should have been MUCH FARTHER AWAY! :bangin:

I gotta tell the truth, here.

If I was with a good-looking gal who had on a low-cut shirt, I'd be pretty close, too.

The low cut shirts comment is on the money. .22 brass is hot enough to leave a burn mark merely bouncing off moist skin...captured by clothing against skin, I can only imagine the discomfort.

Also true. But if your bringing a new shooter to the range you have to anticipate something like this.
