Wow, never thaught I'd hear that! Well it's no wonder our soldiers are what they are, they're movie fed. They all want to be rambo or captain kirk, and thus they are the best because that is what they strive for.
In the end we are a warrior nation, always have been. We can deny it but it will not change. And that Frenchman has only seen us policing, should we ever mobilize and start up the long dormant war machine the world would quake at the power unleashed!

This makes me happy. Because if our ALLIES see us as "Uberbadasses", then how does the enemy view us?
(cracks knuckles) Respect your enemy, they're the only one whom you can depend to act accordingly.

fascinating find, I had to laugh at this because it's so true:
Whatever state they are from, no two accents are alike and they even admit that in some crisis situations they have difficulties understanding each other.
Had a squad-mate from deep in the sticks of Alabama, with a correspondingly thick accent, and I have a pretty thick Lawn Guyland accent and we literally couldn't speak to each other without alot of effort on both of our parts.
As for the French, I know many people mock them, but the truth is they've been brutal warriors themselves up until WW2, when their humiliating collapse was the fault of their leadership (putting all their faith in the Maginot line); not the French soldiers. They fought hard and brave in WW1, and Napoleon tore a swath that left people pissed off 100 years later.

Since when does the opinion of the French matter? The only war they've ever won was the French Revolution - and that was because they fought a French enemy!

They have an overall good history actually; their biggest losses seems to have been in their New World colonies.

A. Both are brief, sordid, and completely meaningless.

The French have only one actual fighting war hero, Joan of Arc, and they turned her over to the enemy!

A. To get as far away from the French as possible.

That was more of a massacre than an actual war.
