Well, I was gong to suggest checking out your nearest Tractor Supply Store, but you don't have one closer than Franklin or Elizabeth City. I'm in Northern Virginia and the closest is Richmond. Anyway, while on a business trip in Kansas City I picked up a nice 1 1/2" wide belt for $25.00! So figure if you can find any type of farner's supply they sell belts too?

Of course there's plenty to choose from online...

if you happen to go to the next gun show there is a guy that sell all kinds of leather products, i know he is at the Richmond Gunshows alot i think he also does the Norfolk and Va Beach ones as well. I used to pass by his booth and not look at anything untill i was looking for a leather belt. I had looked and looked but only found crappy belts, i even checked out the Harley Davidson shop in Hanover and found nice leather belts for 70.00
I finally found this guy at the gunshow and he had nice belts and heavy duty belt buckels for a heck of a price. He will even stamp what ever you want on the belt, and i do mean anything. When he said he would stamp whatever i wanted i asked him really anything he said yep anything. i even dropped a nice cuss word and he said ill put it on there if you want. I actually ended up with my last name and it only cost a total of 24.00 i have been back and bought 2 more.

I could be horribly mistaken, but I could have sworn I recently saw a sign regarding the construction of a Tractor Supply Co. in Toano, which is right next to Williamsburg.

You might find that a heavy Carhartt work belt will work pretty good for you, too. Bass Pro and others carry them in 1-1/2" wide, Brown or Black, with stitched-on buckles (rather than snapped on). They work fine for me with full size sidearms, and they're generally under $30.
