Gun Rights Do Not Exist!

I am constantly reading on the Net and in the media about so-called gun rights, gun laws, and gun control. Equally disturbing are the cries to pass pro-gun legislation or rallies against anti-gun legislation.
On one hand, we preach that guns are mere machines, inanimate objects and tools. On the other, we appear to be attempting to give 'rights' to these inanimate machines.
I submit to you a request; that we remove the phrases gun rights, pro-gun and anti-gun from our vocabulary.
We should replace them with the more accurate, human, and far more personal,
gun-owner rights,
pro-gun-owner and
anti-gun-owner."

Well when we use phrases such as gun-rights it is not literal and the rights are not for the gun but applies to the owner.
Why would anyone take that literally unless they truely are that stupid!

I agree with Eggman on this and I've written about it before in this forum (or maybe it was an article that I linked to). Either way, everything in today's world is about perception and wording. If we try to give rights to guns, it takes the personality out of it and makes it easier for those who wish to curtail our rights to take them away from a gun rather than a gun owner.
People *are* stupid these days. Each little nuance of verbiage can and does have a very large affect on everyday citizens.

I'm Pro 2A. Literally, that has no meaning, but I think it gets the idea across.

As mentioned obviously the guns are being give the rights the people are. ALSO rights are were NOT intended to given by the Constitution instead they acknowledged and protected by it. That said I may start saying "gun owner's rights" just to be clear.

I consider myself pro-freedom. That freedom just happens to include guns.

If you can't figure out that an inanimate object has no rights, you have bigger problems to worry about!

This is a trick of the left. You may note that once we had "Founding Fathers", but suddenly we now have the "Framers of the Constitution". You see, the latter term removes the masculine; makes the femi-nazi's happy and assists in the feminination of our nations men. Language is VERY important. One must watch how they word things.

Part of the distinction is because the two are mostly different groups...
