Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

I know the staff is refraining from posting at this time. However, after the dust settles, it would be interesting to see how many new users the forum picked up after the contest went "public."

Well I only heard of the contest after I joined so, not it!:3

+1 I would be interested in seeing that also. Seems like we've seen more and more members lately.

even more interesting will be the percentage of post-contest-announcement new members that stick around after the contest ends.

I just hope we can get a decent percentage of them to stick around after it's all said and done!

My showing up here had nothing to do with the contest.

I think with the elections heating up, folks will stay for the lively debates.

I found this site while looking for dealers in my are. The fact that I came when this rifle contest was happening is just a bonus. But I do plan to stick with the site, I have even been recruiting some of my friends to join in the discussion here as we are all very opinionated and love to see like minded souls.

It is a really good community. Good folks here for sure.

Hopefully, all of these new members will see the quality of the posts and we can have sensible logical debates without resorting to name calling and profanity. Those qualities are why I stay around.

I think one thing may shock the "trolls"...

One, We don't tolerate rude behavior. The postings alone after a troll are hilarious how we chide ill-spoken rants.

Two, even when we disagree with one another, we're still "Fellow Gun Owners".

Three, We're Virginians, either by birth, travel, or accident... And that means we've a "Genteel Manner" to uphold.

I may disagree with folks here, but I will not call them names, call their ideas "stupid", or attempt to argue without facts at hand.

Because GUnderwood will eat you alive if you slip up...

A buddy of mine forwarded me the link to this forum a couple weeks ago. I joined up and checked it out, decided it looked like a pretty good place, so I made a few posts.

Then I discovered the contest.

Even though I didn't win (I wuz robbed, I tell ya!), I plan on hanging around.

Fine print: The winner of the SAR-XV Gladius rifle must provide his cell phone number and current physical address so that physical custody of the weapon can be shared amongst all VGOF member in a fair and equitable fashion
