BB Gun Age?

I'm itching to get my little guy a BB gun. He'll be 5 in December. Too early?

I don't think so. My oldest started shooting a BB gun when he was 4-5 and started shooting a .22LR when he was 7. My second oldest started w/ a BB gun at 5 and with a .22LR at 6. I would say it's all about educating him.
Congrats on having a very near future shooter on your hands!

If your young'n can hold it up he's old enough to shoot it. I started my daughter shooting when she was 5. We started with a close range and a .22lr scoped. My youngest son received his first gun (.22lr Taurus) on his fifth birthday. Have fun, make it fun for him and you'll have a life long shooting buddy.

No, as soon as they can support the gun and operate the controls is fine under supervision.
