I've wanted an AR15 for years and finally saved the pennies to get myself one :tommygun:

It's a Bushmaster .223 16in barrel. I've put a green dot/red laser optics on it and have over 300 rounds through it at Hite Hollow already. I am in love, the SKS might get dusty now.

Here I was at the range before I mounted the optics. I've had the gun about a week ! :)

*Drool*

I do love the Tacti-cool AR's, but something about a nice, simple, clean AR just makes me smile.

Nice Rifle.

Thanks guys

I don't forsee any more mods to the weapon, I like to keep them pretty barebones.

Hite Hollow is a nice range, it can get crowded but thats probably because.... it's a nice range. hah. :pistol:

yep, nice range.
i was there from noon to about 4 last wednesday and had the pistol range all to myself. couple of folks down on the rifle range, but they didn't stay long.

weekends, on the other hand... good for the most part, but *can* get hairy. had to step out of a potential line of fire three times while the person in the adjacent lane was trying to clear a bunch of ftf/fte with poor muzzle discipline. said something, firmly but politely each time, and got an "oops... sorry" each time.

I wish I could make it during the week but by the time I'm off work and get out there the sun is setting, so I'm a weekend warrior until next summer :tommygun: I'm usually out there on Sunday mornings around 11am ish, Sunday is range day. The crowd is growing this time of year with everyone sighting in their deer rifles. Luckily I have never ran into anyone being reckless or unsafe while I was there, and I have been out there 50times over the last decade. Im not saying it doesn't go on though, as the bullet riddled tin roofs say otherwise. lol.
