Is it me or is it getting harder and much more expensive to get ammo? can't get the guns ,so get the ammo? Fear the government that fears your guns

what are you shooting? where do you shop?

I've noticed certain calibers are harder to find at wal-mart then others, for example always plenty of 9mm but not a lot of .38 special and that always goes right after it comes in but i figured that is just because it is not in as high demand. As for the price, I just think that is a sign of this inflation they keep telling us we aren't having. If you can't find what you want at the store, have you tried ordering online from places like Midway USA? Depending on your particular preferred ammo, if you buy it in bulk even with the shipping it is pretty decently priced.

I have been buying my ammo from georgia arms for the last 6 years. Thier website is georgia-arms.com. I have been using their canned heat (their bulk ammo) You can order it online or pick it up from gunshows in the area.

As with any market the price reflects the demand. Lower demand usually means lower prices. Higher demand the opposite. With ammo this rule is subjective. The more popular rounds are usually the higher priced and harder to find. There are a few places that resist this trend but you have to know someone who knows someone to find it before its gone. As for the Walmart prices on 38 spec ammo, the local gun ranges often know the sales person and gets a call right before the shipment arrives and they are at the store to buy it before its even stocked. I have seen this first hand in Col. Hgts. walmart. You can buy 50 rounds of .40 s&w ammo for 20.00, go to the range and the same ammo is 45.00 Go figure. Capitalism, aint it great!
