Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the group and the area. Due to work, I live part time in Placid Bay (near Colonial Beach) and part time in the suburbs of Baltimore.

I own a small company called Glow Inc that manufactures high-end glow in the dark paint. I am also the President of The CrackerJacks, the oldest fireworks club in the US, based near Fredericksburg, VA.

My gun collection is primarily for "serious plinking" and target shooting. I currently have a Sig P220, a heavily modified Ruger 10/22, a S&W 422 , and a Beretta 3901 Shotgun. I am also waiting patiently on a Sig P226 Platinum Elite to arrive.

Currently, I shoot at a trap club in MD and an indoor target range in MD. In Virginia, I was lucky enough to find a farmer who allows us to "plink", skeet, and target shoot. I am hoping at some point to join the Northern Virginia Gun Club, but do not yet have a sponsor.

Well, I just got back to Placid Bay. 3 of the dam's let loose and all but one of our beautiful lakes dumped into the river. I am seriously bummed out. You can see pictures at www.facebook.com/placidbay

As for shooting in Virginia, you may want to check out the Izaak Walton League. I am a member of the Stafford chapter but below is the information for the Fredericksburg chapter.
