I am going shooting tomorrow morning at Silver Eagle range with my dad and uncle, my neice will be there too but sadly she's too young to shootso we'll be taking turns watching her.
Not only am I going to finally be able to shoot my new Taurus Judge but my uncle just got his new Henry repeater, so it's going to be awesome!
And I have some spongebob target to blow holes in!
I'll report here after it's all over.

Ok went there but apparently they were having some sort of government thing so cut to an hour later we go in and fill forms. My neice is not too young as long as my brother gives me or my dad temp guardianship.
But my day got worse, much worse. My taurus judge misfires almost every shot because of the cylinder not rotating. I am beyond POd, and that gun to me is a certified POS and unless I can get it fixed so it is 100% reliable or better yet get my money back it is a $500 paper weight!
However my uncles henry repeater was as awsome as anything I've shot, my dad's .357 was a beast, and my brother's .22 pistol (which I'm holding for him) was as sleek as ever.
So basically a fanfreakingtastic day for everyone but me! Sorry there were no pics...

Well I'm going to take it back to the gun shop I bought it from and have them look at it and hopefully convince them to refund my money. If they don't and can't fix it I'll have to send it to taurus, which will be a pain in the butt. And from what I've heard of taurus their customer service is like banging your head against the wall, one I heard had to threaten them with an attorney in order to get them to give him a refund.
Of what fun this going to be!

If you have to send it to Taurus I feel sorry for you. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having a good experience with Taurus customer service.
This is why I'm afraid to buy a Taurus. They make some guns that interest me, but I'm not going to support a company like that, and they seem to have a higher failure rate than I'd like.

I took it back to Loudoun guns today after work and they were nice. They looked at the gun saw the problem and sent it off to Taurus for me. Still even if it comes back working properly I still may just trade it in and get something else because I'm disliking this gun every day.
Btw my dad's .357 is made by Taurus and is a fantastic gun, well except the grip is loose but that's just a loose screw.

Yeah, sounds like a Taurus revolver alright.

Well it seems I'm stuck with it as they only offered me 200 of the 505 I paid. Seeing as how I do not wish to go through the hassle of trying to get a refund through taurus then I'm left with two options 1. Have my brother, who works with people who would probably buy it, sell it for about 400 or 2. Keep it and try to enjoy it and hope it doesn't break again. Nice to have the lifetime warrenty in that case actually!
I'm not saying it's a bad gun because I like the versatility of it and the fact that though you will see Judges you don't see many with the six inch barrel, of which even the clerk at the gun shop commented, and I'm sure is why many of the reviews of it's range are so bad (what do you expect with a snub barrel).
So I guess I sort of answered my own question in that I'll be keeping it in the hopes I'll never have to put it to the true test and take a life.
Cheers, Jon

What rounds were you shooting through it? BTW, their cash price is what they'll pay. Put it on consignment there or at another shop if you don't want to keep it. Have you tried it again yet?

I was firing winchester .45 long colts, they were 250 grain cowboy cartridges (the ones that come in a brown box).
I just fired it today and had no problem so I guess they fixed it. I finished off the 15 .45s I had left then I fired some Brenneke slugs through it and while they shot fine the spent shells got stuck in the cylinder and took some working to get them out.
I've heard of problems like this, I'll just try to find better shells like federal as they're suppose to eject smoothly. Just as well as the Brenneke's are freaking 8 bucks per five!
But yeah it works fine now so I'm definitely keeping it with no regrets.
