At least post a photo big enough to see, some of don't see as well as we used to.

I'd have to guess it is the removable stock for an Artillery Luger/Lange Pistole 08.

I was thinking stock for a Buntline special maybe but I think Mocassin is right.

Looks like I may have been wrong. The only other thing I can think of is the stock for a Broomhandle Mauser but the shape doesn't seem quite right for that.
