People are amazed when they find out Hitler was voted into office by legitimate vote. It's partially the idea that things won't get too bad or we can take care of it latter. Some just want to hear what they want to hear. Can't happen in the good ole USA. Tell that to Americans of Japanese decent in 1942. Oh and he was a Progressive president too.Kreutz wrote:And life goes on for everyone else (aka the majority). Sounds to me like the majority isn't such a bad place to be.
Again, you can do as you please, as can I. I don't forsee 1984 happening anytime soon, and if it does, it won't last forever.
Oh and you are way, way wrong on your assertion about a small minority in the Revolutionary war. It's a poor skew of numbers. Sure you can say the Continental Army was X+Z (militia)/Y (population)=small %. That doesn't take into account that Z was different people depending on what location the battle was fought. You didn't have militia men going from NY to MD to fight. They stayed near there homes. Your also not taking into account all the farmers, merchantmen, and and such that supported the war effort. Give me numbers or give your minority argument death!
I do understand your point of view. I'll bite my tongue on what words I'd call it as I don't know you well nor know just how serious you are if push were to come to shove. I for one want the "wars" to stay at the ballet box. I've got kids and a good life. Nothing I want more. I however believe if we loose the US Constitution that all goes away. Too many crap hole places in the world that prove it.
