I have been occupied lately so I have not checked in as much.

But this stuff is BULL....... I have never in my life even owned a stars and bars flag but this is being used as a smoke grenade to cover up what they are actually doing.

As for the crusades bit.......look up the battle of tours. See how the Muslims conquered and treated those they conquered then get back to me. I am not saying what Ferdinand and Isabella did was right but see what they were up against.

I haven't forgotten about yall. My grandma came to visit, then my sister got married. Now I am dealing with doctors apt trying to figure out whether my hearing loss is connected to my red face and connected to my joint and back pain. Fun times!

Walter Williams (whom the racist SJWs consider a Caucasian) has an excellent, short essay on the stupidity of the anti-flaggers: http://townhall.com/columnists/walterew ... e-n2024814

A taste:
During the 1787 Constitutional Convention, a proposal was made that would allow the federal government to suppress a seceding state. James Madison rejected it, saying, "A union of the states containing such an ingredient seemed to provide for its own destruction. The use of force against a state would look more like a declaration of war than an infliction of punishment and would probably be considered by the party attacked as a dissolution of all previous compacts by which it might be bound."

In fact, the ratification documents of Virginia, New York and Rhode Island explicitly said they held the right to resume powers delegated should the federal government become abusive of those powers. The Constitution never would have been ratified if states thought they could not regain their sovereignty -- in a word, secede.

Oh, Nooo! So, we are a conquered people, like the Native Americans, but are not afforded our culture and dignity? Shame!

Unfortunately laws don't mean jack these days. A multitude of states passed laws to protect marriage too and we all know how that came out.

On Monday evening a family in Chesterfield County, Virginia was on their property waving large Confederate flags as motor vehicles passed them by on the rural divided highway they live off of.

The family says a man pulled in their driveway, got out of his SUV, pulled a gun, chambered a round and then pointed the gun at the father’s head. After mouthing off the gunman got back in his SUV and drove away without firing a shot.

The flags need armed guards.

I'm with you Rev. That dude would have been dropped by me or my son... Maybe both. Either way, he wouldn't have gone home.

I noticed that the article left race of the parties involved out of the story. I wonder why? [/sarcasm]

Ya gotta love Walter!
The War of 1861 brutally established that states could not secede. We are still living with its effects. Because states cannot secede, the federal government can run roughshod over the U.S. Constitution's limitations of the Ninth and Tenth Amendments. States have little or no response.
Never quite heard it put that way.

Hope you guys won't hold my northern roots against me. I wasn't around then.

And THAT is the real reason we had a civil war. The Union States didn't want to lose the tax base, farming/agricultural (tobacco and cotton were huge industry) or territory. The Confederate States were looking too big and profitable, so right on queue, the Union States took what wasn't theirs to take.

Same here... born in Providence RI... escaped as soon as I could. Got more years below the Mason Dixon than above it. Between my principles and location, I have no problems tell people I'm a Southerner.

I reckon that it's time to get some apparel that features the Confederate flag. This level of Confederphobia has exceeded ridiculous and hit the level of offensive.
