Maybe you disagree, but you wouldn't want to interfere with the rights of the inconvenienced, would you?

Good Idea SHMIV, run 'em over the mountain if they get in your way and tell the cops it was just a post-partum abortion. Perfectly legal. Move along, officer; nothing to see here.

No chance of a run away process.

"Men in Black"
"Liberty and Tyranny"
"Ameritopia"
help understand what and why we got here..

Of course I understand that most of our society can't or wouldn't have the focus to actually read a book.
Yes, I'm actually I'm actually pretty familiar with his supposed reasons on why a Run Away process won't happen. However, neither Mark Levin nor any other advocate has answered these issues. A Convention (or 50 state Conventions) would not just be filled with Liberty loving activists. It would be filled with a cross section of the populace. Do we really think that a cross section of the populace is going to agree to Liberty Amendments?

And again, Roberts Rules, which are the rules that are adopted by pretty much all public assemblies from Congress to Town Halls, states that an assembly CAN amend the Agenda for any meeting with a 2/3's vote. So, despite Levin's assurances, any convention Agenda can be amended all it would take is a Motion to add X item to the Agenda and 2/3's agreed that it should just be DISCUSSED. I have yet to see any Convention of the States supporter actually deal with this issue and point to a section in Roberts Rules which states otherwise.
With a majority of States legislatures being red, rules of order would dictate approval of the majority for order and accountability for the products. That alone would limit the liberals, being 20% of the population as a whole and much less of State legislatures. The 2nd method of the 5th amendmant calls not for a cross section of the population but a representative of State legislators.

Are you looking for easy or a future for the republic?

Again this is not a constitutional convention but rather a convention of the States for the purpose of proposing constitutional ammendments.

Meh, why not discuss things? You seem to be worried about this going on forever, but that might just be what is needed to find the right thing to do.

On the flip side, I doubt anyone would be against balancing the budget, putting the constitution on its proper footing, curbing the power of the branches to their proper levels, and stopping a completely overintrusive government.

Honestly, I don't want them to go into this thinking its going to be a long weekend and then go home. This would be something much more serious, and that would make it more serious for the federal government when they see it happen.

The people that make up the government (and thus already have all the power) would voluntarily curb their own power....why?

STATE legislatures!!!

Danm right the feds will never kill their own gravytrain!

Someone's missing the point. Read the 2nd method of amending the constitution in the 5th Amendment.

Or if you feel up to the challenge of an ENTIRE book;
"The Liberty Amendments" by Mark Levin

OR continue chasing your tails and expect that to get you somewhere different.......

Or just settle back and enjoy the role of sheeple.

You mean Article 5; not Amendment 5.

Nope, it's alot easier to just stay home so not looking for easy. What I'm looking for is a goal that is possible. It's possible to work hard and get good men and women elected who will uphold our Constitution.

I have no idea what you mean by "Rules of order would dictate approval of the majority for order and accountability for the products." Again, where in Roberts Rules are you getting that from?

Rules have to be adopted by a body when it first organizes and assuming that the rules would simply favor Liberty principles is not a realistic assumption in my experience.

Read "The Liberty Amendments"

So you have the Tea Party against Repubics and Democraps? Not a chance of electing enough to effect change. Even so they will ferment into RINOS as time passes. We should elect good people but it will take MORE than that!

I hope they do start doing that, and ues, its perhaps the most powerful tool we have. However it requires large scale cooperation.
