Lotta hatin on CPD for you to make the assumption they couldn't handle the outrage..... Maybe they could, and are, but idiots who like jumping to conclusions and calling for "bounties on cops" got the page removed... But wait, that doesn't fit your MO...sorry....

@CCFan...
i never posted on their page... i just read it from time to time. and, i never, *ever*, make threatening comments. i just wanna be crystal clear on that.

the fb page was far more than comments about the incident in question. cpd used it mostly to post bad-guy mugshots. if the cpd wanted to quell discontent and outrage about the incident, they could easily have removed the content they found objectionable and placed a disclaimer that it wouldn't be tolerated in the future. instead, they chose to take the entire, long-standing site down. that, in and of itself, is telling.

how about not taking the apologist side of the question for a moment and, instead, make a dispassionate, critical thinking, review? i've done that, yet there is too much that doesn't pass the "smell test". doing some independent research into the general climate of trust for leo in culpeper doesn't help the reputation much either. people in that town fear leo, and that is scary.

I'm not taking an apologetic approach at all, I'm taking a realistic approach. Neither you nor I nor the court of public opinion know the facts. Until then, I will not make a decision either way. Look how many people changed their minds in the Florida shooting.... I would rather keep an open mind than wrongly convince myself someone was guilty if in fact they are not. What's the problem with that?

i hope that there is some reasonable and logical explanation for the officer's actions in this case, because frankly, i don't want this to be an incident of ultimate bad judgement. i'd really like leo to go back to the concept of 'peace officer' vs virtually militarized forces. if we need to disagree, so be it.

forgive me if this offends, but i will remain wary and skeptical of anyone granted power over "we the people" even when, no, especially when, it is granted by "we the people". people with power are no better or worse then the general public, at least to start. but as the saying goes: power corrupts...

trust isn't granted. it's hard-won, hard-earned.

I'm waiting for the thread for all the LEO's killed in the line of duty in our defense.

This thread reads a lot like the Trevon Martin thread.

Wonder if the officer was wearing a hoodie to conceal his identity?

Well for the record I'm not saying that I want to see a bounty on cops heads, was using that to show the double standard in the Florida case. Seems pretty funny that the black panthers can put a bounty on someones head and yet the real racists bigot al sharpton and the naacp don't condone this at all. With all the news coverage that case has received you would think to see them publicly say something about that, but yet nothing and I just keep seeing the sweet little osamas son's picture in the news. Plus don't you think then that the local or feds would publicly say something about this? You know damn well it would be a great uproar if the kkk did that towards a black person. It really goes to show that most of the black population are freeloading IDIOTS that think they deserve a handout from something that happened back before any of our relatives were alive. Also to expect something from the govt of this country that is completely a 180 from what it once was, the statistics of crime and the population of prisons support the facts that most blacks are nothing more than violent animals. Hence why racism wont ever go away in this country cause of people like al sharpton and jesse jackson are able to stir up the simple minded people and will continue to do so until they put the weed and gold grills down and smarten up and say enough of the past and work towards a better tomorrow.

I've always found this to be a good idea. Nothing offensive in that, to me.

Culpeper PD took down their FaceBook page. Guess the pressure was too much.

They do commit most violent crime, ergo, it is correct. Reality is racist. This is why reality is the anti-white liberals greatest nemesis...that and accidentally wandering into "diverse" neighborhoods. :hysterical:

I don't follow your math.
"Most" means at least 51%, more likely 70-80-90%.
You are saying that 51% plus of blacks are violent animals?
Can you back that up?
It really doesn't matter who commits the most violent crime. That is a different statistic. Do I need to explain the math, or is this simply something you choose to believe, right or wrong?

I'm lazy, 2005 is what turned up first.

Image

Look at "crimes of violence" 13.5% of the populace commits 63.5% of violent crime.

Thats not a majority to you?

Also noteworthy in 2005 a whopping 0 white men raped black women, but 33.6% of white female rape vicitms were raped by black men.

Kreutz, maybe we are cross-talking here.
I'm not disputing, nor talking about, what fraction of crimes are committed by black folks.
I'm only questioning your statement that "most blacks are ... violent animals."

I see nothing in your previous post that addresses my question.

Sounds like you were disputing it to me.

And why doesn't it really matter?

It does matter as in these maddeningly PC times, for someone to speak the truth. A revolutionary act in these days in fact according to Mr. Orwell, hence my offer of some suds to newgunguy.

When was that "my" statement?

Might want to direct that to "newgunguy" there partner.

Oops, sorry Kreutz, my bad; I apologize. Newgunguy said it, you just defended it (with irrelevant info, is my claim).

Man I really wished that we did. Right now we live in the "Peoples Republic of" controlled by Idiots voted in by Super Retards. Like now the right hand man of Osama (deval patrick) just announced that he is going to release 3 convicted murders, after they have already been let out before and violated their paroles. They don't want people to help themselves here but to call in the NAZI stormtroopers so they can show up and beat up everyone and get money from letting the innocent free. These people here would rather have you try to run away and if something happened would just say "better luck next time".
Hopefully soon we will be able to get a house around South Boston in Nathalie.

This reminds me of a case here locally for me a while back. An off duty officer working security fired into a car full of teenagers infront of an IHOP here in Alexandria. The officer was standing in the middle of the street claiming the teens tried to run him over. My questions were 1. Why didn't he just get out of the way? and 2. If he was trying to disable the vehicle why did he shoot someone in the back seat. Unfortunately the people never found out the whole story, and never found out what id anything happened to the officer. I fear in this case it will be the same end to a similar story.
