No biggie. I had a misspelling in mine too so I corrected them both at the same time.

Served in the Navy 8 Years, 1976 to 1984, as a lowly E-4, made 3 West-pac cruises, the last on the U.S.S. Coral Sea during the Iranian crises when they took those 52 American hostages. I was a Store Keeper (AK) for the squadron VA-196, also dry-docked and a museum now.

I am active duty Air Force. I have been in since 91 so only a year and a half till retirement, woohoo! I am a Munitions systems technician ( AMMO) I build bombs and missiles and load bullets. I spent most of my time in Europe and have made my share of trips to the big sand box, the last time was May to Oct 07. I have many good memories from the AF and some not so good, and then who can remember Korea? I just can't wait to retire and do something new and not have to leave my family all the time! IYAAYAS

I have not served yet, but can I post that I am in the process of getting into the NAVY? I just had LASIK eye surgery and have a Dr. meeting with the NAVY in a few weeks. If everything goes well then I will be going to basic and then attempting to become a NAVY SEAL. Hopefully my nearly 15 years of competition swimming will come in handy.
To all of those who have served, I honor your commitment to this fine country, and hopefully will honor this country with either my life or many years of service to it.

I retired from the Army in 1994, and I've been a DoD civilian at Marine Corps Base Quantico for the past 12 years.
I held a few different MOSs while I was in the Army, but ended up with 90A (Multifunctional Logistician) as my primary MOS and 67H/K (Medical Operations/Logistics Officer) as my secondary MOSs. I spent most of my time in muddy boots units: 7th Infantry Division (2nd Bn 31st Infantry and 7th Medical Bn), 3rd Infantry Division (3rd Medical Bn), 2nd Armored Division (124th Main Support Bn and a Provisional Support Bn), and III Corps Headquarters. Also did tours at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the US Atlantic Command (DJTF-140C - Deployable Joint Task Force 140 Cadre), which eventually evolved into Joint Forces Command. Served in a couple of Army hospitals including Walter Reed, and finished up my career as a faculty member in the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda.
Now, I'm the Director of the General Alfred M. Gray Marine Corps Research Center at Quantico and one of the VPs at the Marine Corps University.

Army from 1984 to 1988; basic training in Fort Bliss, TX, then 26 months in Budingen, W. Germany and the rest of my tour in Ft Carson Colorado.
I always say it's an experience I'm glad I did, but I would never do again.
It did give me my first love of guns as I was the unit armorer in Germany. Took me 20 years to reconnect with that love.

+1 Air Power. Active duty USAF Security Forces 2006-present, stationed in Europe, the box, and now stateside. Grandfather was Army infantry officer, WWII, Germany, may he rest in peace. Father was Navy jet mechanic, USS Saratoga, Gulf of Tonkin during Vietnam, may he also rest in peace.

+100 for all of us who've signed the dotted line
