Folks we all know that NRA has elections and we can vote...we should do the same thing we do in national or local elections...discuss the candidates make some good picks and vote...

The good thing about the NRA is it does allow advancement based on your membership status...advancement means you rise up and perhaps able to influence things a little more...a simple thing to do when all you have to do is give up few bucks...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

So are you saying influence in the NRA can be purchased?

If he ain't, he ought to be. Sometimes with money; sometimes with celebrity; sometimes with both. It's how the game is played; that's what politicians respond to - that and the prospect of 5 million voters being told to vote against them. Another thing about being that big is that the pols know you have a tremendous capacity to grow. If each of the 5 million members recruits two buddies, that's 15 million. Sleeping giant syndrome.
"The Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference." -Thomas Jefferson
Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

No...what I'm saying is that you pay money to join...you can have membership at different levels and each costs a little more...once you are a member they will sometimes send you an offer to upgrade your membership at a reduced rate...higher the level the higher the potential influence...if enough of us like minded do that then we can also make a difference...

Call it purchasing if you like. You folks out there who like to boycott stuff merely because you dont agree should reconsider. You sometimes toss out the baby with the bath water....rather than immediately boycott take a closer look and see how the system might be exploited...if we dont like how the NRA is being ran there is a way to change it and you cant do it through ridicule and boycott...

I've never been a fan of "boycotts". Will I let my dollars talk and take a walk? Sure. But more often than not, it's better to work from the inside.

The whole point of my line in this thread echoes this thought. For those who are members of any organization, if you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

@Andy...indeed and well spoken. If we want the NRA to change we must be part of the organization and exercise membership rights and rise up the ranks if/when given the opportunity...change and destruction almost always happens from the inside out...
