Yea, I've posted those pictures on a number of boards, but RFC is one of them.

Just too good a backdrop to not use it.

1977 10/22 delux. Walnut stock. No warning barrel. The scope is a 3x7x20 BSA. The sling is a $5.00 nylon one from Wal-Mart. This is a sweet shooting little rifle.

When I got this one, it had a very distinct "rub" mark on the stock. You could tell someone had carried it in the crook of their arm a lot. I cleaned the stock with "Pledge" and most of that went away, but you can still see it faintly if the light is right. I like to picture an old codger in a brown hunting coat, smoking a pipe, and carrying this great little rifle under his arm.

My collection so far:

Both are stock, purchased NIB in the early '90's. The Browning will put as many rounds as I want thru one hole. The NEF don't shoot for $**t no matter what I feed it or how close it is to the target. I like it anyway. Hoping to add a lever action rifle to the collection to teach the kids with.

Nice Browning gfost. I'm thinking of getting one to do just the things you are doing. Been a long time since I've done any real target shooting. My range time now is mostly 5 yards with focus purely on self defense scenarios.

Well I traded off the Harrington & Richardson pictured above on a Colt Official Police.

However, my wife picked this one up to replace it over the weekend, and gave it to me for my birthday tomorrow. After all, you can never have too many 22's.



Colt Frontier Scout, made in 1967. 22LR/22 Magnun. 4 5/8" barrel. Original box, but no other papers. The little round thing there in the box is a Colt screwdriver that I'm told is highly sought after in it's own right. True or not, I have no idea, but it's a nice touch.

The finish looks sort of splotchy in that picture, but not in real life. I can't find a scratch on it, not even a drag line on either cylinder. It's been fired, both cylilnders, but not a lot.

My Ruger 10/22 in a Blackhawk Axiom R/F stock. I want to convert to a "heavy" carbon fiber barrel. Any advice on that is welcomed. Scope is a fixed Nikon ProStaff 4x.

My Ruger 10/22 in a Blackhawk Axiom R/F stock. I want to convert to a "heavy" carbon fiber barrel. Any advice on that is welcomed. Scope is a fixed Nikon ProStaff 4x.

Five months. Around the time my son was one month old, I was looking after him for the day... and what's a father to do with his son... take him to Virginia Arms in Manasas. I bought the P22 that day on a whim, and while filling out the paper work looked down at him and said, "One day this will be yours." You gotta love Virginia Arms. While I was in there, two of the salesmen were giving me advice on how to rock my son to sleep, and a female patron begged to hold him. Very family friendly.

Like my son, the P22 had feeding problems at first but that has been resolved. They are both keepers.
